In a nutshell, Jackson-Bibby Awareness Group’s first offender program offers individuals. Who committed their first DUI offense. The chance to get their suspended driver’s licenses re-issued. These DUI programs also explain the many dangers of driving under the influence and problems that can arise when an offender is caught and convicted.
Why Individuals Should Attend DUI Telehealth Sessions?
Both repeat offenders and first-time offenders can benefit from attending DUI telehealth sessions. Although the frequency and length of the sessions differ, they are designed to reduce the chances of further repeat offences through rehabilitation and education. Furthermore, it can be mandated by a judge or existing laws.
Specifically, who might benefit from alcohol/drug education? First offense program participants frequently meet the following criteria (one or more):
- People who have just started using alcohol and/or drugs but who wish to head off an addiction from developing.
- People who received their first DUI offense conviction. For multiple offenders, multiple offense classes/programs are offered by Jackson-Bibby Awareness Group as well. A judge may drop charges once the person completes the program (for a first offense).
- People who are at risk of a possible disorder involving substance use/abuse.
The Benefits of DUI Sessions
For offenders, educational sessions that revolve around DUI offenses can help them identify and/or prevent developing addiction. Particularly for individuals who don’t meet some substance abuse disorder criteria, these sessions can be particularly helpful. For any individual who is concerned about alcohol or drug use, these programs are recommended. These sessions, however, involved offenders who were arrested for one or more DUI offenses.
For both first-time offenders and individuals with multiple offenses, Jackson-Bibby Awareness Group offers DUI education programs. These sessions are currently being done via the Internet for the concern of everyone’s health. We are trying to do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
Why Are Telehealth Sessions Being Offered?
In Southern California and the rest of the nation, in early 2020, COVID-19 cases reached alarming levels and continued to increase.
As of December 2020, Jackson-Bibby Awareness Group suspended all in-person enrollments. We switched to virtual enrollments and conducted sessions through Zoom. The reason for the change is to ensure the safety and health of our staff and clients.
First-Time Offender Programs Offered Through Jackson-Bibby
At Jackson-Bibby Awareness Group, we understand the seriousness of the coronavirus, so – rather than in-person sessions – we’re offering DUI telehealth sessions. We believe that the best way of conducting treatment and promoting rehabilitation (given the current pandemic situation) is through these DUI telehealth sessions. For a limited time only, we conduct these sessions via an online platform. Regular classes/sessions will resume in person once the pandemic is under control and/or as soon as it’s possible, whichever comes first.
